Harvard study

Postby Hagar » Sat May 28, 2005 3:37 pm

I popped over to Shoreham early this am to get some shots of the promised Dak doing pleasure flights. I was thinking of having a trip in the old girl myself if the price wasn't too steep. When I arrived I was told it had been cancelled at the last minute so I hung around for the rest of the day to see what turned up. Here's a nice surprise, the local Harvard operated by Transport Command Ltd. Haven't seen much of it recently. It's actually an AT-6 Texan painted as an SNJ. I took these shots at various times throughout the day & they're not all in sequence. I juggled them around a bit to make a little study of a beautiful aircraft.

PS. I found out later that the Dak was operating out of Goodwood along with other display aircraft. Shame they didn't think to tell anyone they changed it. ::)

I do, I do. You didn't see how many goes it took to get these. Fortunately for me he was doing circuits for most of the day so I had plenty of chances. ::)

There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!
