The real picture of war. I've been very lucky not to have experienced anything like that but I remember Portsmouth & parts of London looking much the same even in the late 1950s. Coventry Cathedral still looks the same now. http://www.know-britain.com/churches/images/coventry_cathedral_ruins_1.html

It reminds me of pictures I've seen of Malta at the end of their siege.
There are villages in Croatia that still look like that, we never learn :(
