Duxford - another perspective...

We've seen plenty of shots from Roger, Doug and Stephen from the weekend. As it was my third trip to Duxford in three weeks, I thought I'd share a couple of different shots. Duxford is part of the Imperial War Museum, and has exhibits other then aeroplanes...

Post WWII prefab house. There are several of these still in use around the UK...

...and leaving the theme of Duxford, I was driving through town today when I noticed that the QM2 was in town, so I pooped over to Hythe to get a better view - but the pier was in the way!

Nice idea. My sister-in-law was brought up in one of those prefabs. Surprisingly comfortable although it was knocked down some time after she married my brother, probably in the early 70s.

there are or were(not sure their status) tons of those prefabs around Bristol, places like clifton and the docks not surprisingly.
Nice photos, that ship is rather large :)

Yeah, the QE2's round the other side - its used as a lifeboat! ;) ;D

is that all? heaven forbid those QM passengers should have to be seen onboard a lifeboat so cheap as the QE2 :-/ ;D
