Last batch from Old Warden...

Lysander in the hangar

Avro XIX, owned by BAE Systems, but kept and flown by the Shuttleworth Collection

DH 88 Comet, owned by the collection having been donated by DH in the '60s. Where have most of us seen this before? Only flown once since 1992, when BAe Hatfield (where they filmed Saving Private Ryan/Band of Brothers) closed. Old Warden's runway was not long enough to fly from until it was extended a few years ago. The aircraft flew again late in 2003, but suffered a starbord u/c failure on landing. Since repaired, it should fly again later this year

Mignet Flying Flea. Death Trap. Not flown for many years!

Northern Aeroplane Workshops Bristol M1C. Built for the collection during the 1990s it joined the collection early in the '00s, and powered by a genuine rotary engine. NAW also have a Sopwith Camel on the way for the Collection

I hope the Comet will be flying again soon, that would be a sight!
As for the Flea, well calling it a death-trap is something of an understatement. Its a bit like saying I like chocolate a little ;D

There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!

I think you're being a tad unkind about the Pou. I think it depended more on who built it than the basic concept. Apparently some examples flew well enough. The one at Shoreham is a replica of the one flown at the Official Opening Day of the Municipal Airport, 13th June 1936 by Henri Mignet himself. http://www.thearchiveshoreham.co.uk/aircraft_restoration.htm

I'll give it a miss though. :-/ ;)
