Oxford Utd

Postby Craig. » Mon Mar 28, 2005 12:48 pm

well today i had the pleasure of going to a football game in Oxford with my uncle for his TV commentary. I didnt take my camera with me as i didnt know security rules. Next time i will take it. This time i used my phone to get these. And a poor photo stitch to go with it.
Was an entertaining match but not very good. But they are only division two sides. These taken at halftime.

Oxford? Football? Pleasure? :D ;D

Nice pics though, considering they're from a mobile. You'd have been alright with a camera though...

Who won?

;D

Ok pleasure was a bit strong:)
It finished Oxford 2 Leyton Orient 2. It really shouldn't have been that much and LO deserved to win in the last 10 minutes. But Oxford were the better team.
Some football grounds dont like people taking in professional type cameras with 300mm lenses. Then again i did have a press pass so it prob would have mattered.

Ahh, get your point. I've been to a few classics in my time; Gravesend & Northfleet v Chelmsford, Kettering v Macclesfied, Charlton v Portsmouth (1991)...

LOL first match since 98 for me. Kind of a jump to go from the 110,000 seat stade de france. To 10,000 seat Oxford Utd. we lost the press pool for crowd capacity. we chose 6001, it was 5301. ::) Its just so slow down in the 2nd division. Gonna see if i can go with him in a couple of weeks, should be a championship game. I apparently will also be going to see an Aston Villa game with my cousin as she has a spare season ticket. I'd rather be shot.(which is likely to happen in Aston) ;D

LOL It doesn't look as if they have too many crowd problems. :D

The last football match I went to was at the old Goldstone Ground. Brighton & Hove Albion vs Leeds United. I went with my then wife's cousin from Yorkshire who was obviously a United fan. I think the result was 0 0. Not a very exciting game. Billy Bremner was captain of Leeds which shows how long ago that was. ::) ;) 8)

Good lord that was a while back:)

stadium wasn't even half full, two mid table clubs fighting for nothing but pride. The side we were in was almost full. then the right side, those two being home supporters. There are barely 300 orient fans over the other side. Only took 15 mins to get out.

ct just so you know. No phone has a 2.5mp camera. the V600 is a 0.8 at best. Mines the D500 with 1mp camera. You canget some ok shots but nothing good with mine, you need to mess with the settings on it, best quality needs to be selected.
