The Last of the Best (for now)- Old Rhinebeck

Postby beaky » Thu Jan 06, 2005 9:34 pm

First a decent in-flight photo of the New Standard D25: Built in 1929 to carry mail, freight, and/or 4 passengers crammed into the front cockpit. Rides are given to the public every weekend, conditions permitting.
Image

Here we are in the D25, preparing to turn for final approach, on a perfect autumn day (chandelles over the Hudson!).

Yes, the pilot of this Stampe is wearing a rubber clown mask. No, I don't know why. But I'm pretty sure he removed it before takeoff...

Image

But this clown can fly that Stampe. I think he cut the ribbon 3 times before he was too low (they drop a roll of TP from another airplane at 1000 ft. or so).

That's it from my ORA collection- thanks for the bandwidth and patience! ;D

LOL I feel your frustration. ::) ;)

Sorry. I looked out my Sherlock Holmes deerstalker but I can't help out this time. Maybe the images didn't upload properly.

Just a reminder that you can preview your topics before posting them & also modify them if you make a mistake.

Yes, it may be related to the flaky router- I'm on the good one now, so maybe I can upload them again.
Is there a way to confirm the photos have been properly attached to the message before I actually post? Duh... preview, perhaps? :-[ color me stupid...

Ah, that's better. :D

Ah, I forgot the photos would get posted in the old messages

I forgot to mention that you can remove any of your own posts you wish. Click Remove next to Modify at top right of the post. That should tidy it up a little. We'll get there in the end. ;)
