I just found this today (because I just saw the post from Fly2e at fs2004.com)

Here's a copy of the reply that I posted at fs2004

I use to live about 10 miles give or take from the towers. and I knew a few of the firemen that went there that day... none of them returned from that day... everyone somewhere had a loss that day. I have been working on a flash file with a lot of photos from that day that I was sent... I have to reinstall Macromedia flash in order to finish it... but once I have finished it, I'll put a link to it here... those photos were sent to me a week after the crashes.. and I have been putting it off finishing it..... it's just a hard think to do when you loose something from home as well as people you knew.
:'( :'(

I missed this topic when it was originally posted for some reason. As it seems to have been revived I would just like to say how moving those photos are to me, a stranger from thousands of miles away. A unique record of a terrible event that even now I find hard to believe. I can clearly remember seeing the awful images live on TV as it took place.

The fact that the weapons used were the civil aircraft I've dedicated my life to made it even worse. Machines intended for the good of mankind being used for destructive purposes. It made me feel sick inside (& still does) to realise that things had now changed for ever & I couldn't bring myself to touch my PC or do anything much for some time afterwards. I fondly remember my visits to NYC & a trip to the top of one of those towers in happier times. Thanks Dave for posting these photos.

Last night I watched a program on the History Channel about the war of 1812, and realized that September 11 is a day to remember for many reasons.  Mainly the focus being that our freedoms were attached.

After the dust settles, the Red White and Blue always flies high and proud. ;D

Truly incredible images. If you are going to put these up on a website, i'll offer my services to design a website to hold all these images. If you are interested, please PM me. Once again tho, INCREIBLE images. I myself as a photographer wish I was there that day to document this event in images, and I hope that doesn't sound morbid or sick, this event truly moved me when it occured.
