Duxford impressions

Postby Hagar » Sat Sep 04, 2004 5:40 pm

Here's some impressions of my unexpected visit to Duxford today. The weather was glorious but I only managed a few decent shots. Once again, the ones I really want seem to elude me. ::)

I finally got a good one of the Nimrod.

The next 3 are uncropped to prove I can get it right occasionally. ::)
Seems I timed this one about right. I'm surprised it came out as I intended.

B-25 taking off. It's a long time since I've seen one.

Sally B landing. This bird is so photogenic.

No, the image is not upside down. ;)

I'm hoping Tempest can do better tomorrow - if he goes of course. Me, I'm off to Old Warden where I fully intended to spend today. Got the dates mixed up. Silly old fool. LOL ;D

That second shot is FANTASTIC. Amazing timing Doug, you should be submitting these to airliners, they deserve a wider audience!!!
Have fun with the Shuttleworth Collection ;)

I woke up this morning with a splitting headache, so that's that. No Duxford for me :'( And worse, it's perfect weather. No cloud, no wind, hot and sunny. Hope you enjoyed your unplanned visit Hagar old chap and thanks for posting some great shots. Pete Kinsey and Steven Grey do a first class display in those two big cats.

Awesome shots Hagar, I really like the one with the B-17 landing, those are one of my favorite planes.  I wish I got to see them more often.

I see you removed them. That's a shame. Why not post them in a separate thread. They came out better than most of mine. It was one of those days. LOL ;)
