Chailey Air Show Pt II

Postby Hagar » Sun Aug 08, 2004 2:20 pm

:o I never expected to see anything like this. Merlins could be heard on the ground too. :o

Wonder how many gallons to mile he gets out of that?

Back to the aircraft. Hello, what's this then? :D
The mighty Jug arrives. Think this is the first time I've seen one in the air.
Image
Nicely done Sir. ;)
Image

One of 4 Harvards at the show.
Image

And another one. Very colourful. ;)
Image

The ubiquitous little Piper Cub. This one's in L-4 Grasshopper markings.
Image

Now for the Luftwaffe. The Bucker Jungmann. This put on a marvellous display of aerobatics.
Image

A nice Fieseler Storch. Actually a French-built MS.500 Criquet with a Jacobs radial. I was surprised how big they are compared with the Piper Cub.
Image

Unfortunately the promised Bf 109 (Merlin engined Hispano Buchon) didn't show up.

I still doubt the sanity of that car owner :o

There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!

Well, I found my next car!  I wonder what it would take to get it through emissions?  ;D
