That mall is the famous Eatons Centre in downtown Toronto. It was just before Christmas since I was last in downtown Toronto. As for the last shot, you can't beat the St. Lawrence Market. Home of the best food in the Toronto area.

LOL...

Iroquois is right, about the mall and the market. But my mom tends to buy from Kensington Market, and we eat at the exotic red flagged restaurants on Spadina Ave.

P.S If you keep walking south (look at the little blue sign on the right) on picture #4, you will run into the Hockey Hall of Fame...

Be careful eating at thoes restaurants. Thoes bits of pork in your fried rice aren't neccesarily pork. FYI: Rat is concidered a delecacy in China. I'm not kidding.  :P :-[ :-/ :o :-X

LOL...I believe you.

In fact, me and my parents went to this Chinese restaurant once, and saw fried pigeon on the menu. Like, where do you get the meat? Do they hire a person to stand on a roof and capture pigeons? Its something we wont try though. I just hope that the meat they cook is from Canada, so it passes a standard.

The thing I noticed, is when restaurants were bring rated. All the Chinese restaurants really cleaned up. Now they are back to what they use to be. I wonder if the government inspected once, or inspect annually.

More on the rats. I saw it on the TV, I think it was on the CBC or the Discovery Channel. Apparently there was a major rat problem in China's big city's. To solve the problem, the Chinese government decided that if people were to eat the rats, it would be a much safer way to get rid of them than poisoning them. There was a huge advertising campagine to try and convince people that eating rat was perfectly acceptable. There are now restaurants in China's major cities that sell only rat meat.

The reporter went inside to see how the restaurant works. They have cages behind the restaurant to catch rats. Now here comes the really gross part. They take the rat, still alive and dunk it in boiling water. This kills the rat and causes the fur to fall out. Then they either cut it up or deep fry it whole.  :P

I think I'll just stick to the sweet and sour chicken and the prok fried rice thankyou.

Sounds gross  :-X

Wonder what that advertising campaign said...perhaps they tried to find healthy elements in rats. Or claimed it was for the better of China?

I saw a thing on CNN where Korea made a "love you pet day". To resolve international views of Korea being a dog eating country.
