Mine took about five hours. But I did build it up from nothing and the snow didn't stick together all to well due to it being truely freezing. I also had to use a wheel barrow to hunt around for enough snow to build it. About 7 or 8 barrow loads in all.
For those who havn't tried it I would highly recommend building a snowman in the dark. As the entire landscape is snowcovered all the light is reflected from the moon and it all looks fantastic. The whole area also turned a soothing pink when some clouds deflected the light pollution from falmouth. It was brilliant.
