Let me start out by saying the quality of some of these isnt great because of a few reasons. 1: have shakey hands so its a little tougher to take still shots. and 2:the lighting in this museum was horrible, it was really too dark for no flash, but a little to bright to make the flash useful enough excuses here goes.

That trainer looks to me like a Miles Magister.

Good one Craig. I had a very pleasant day out at Middle Wallop some time ago. The museum is excellent. I must visit again with my digital camera.

That trainer is indeed a Maggie. The high-wing aircraft in shot #2 is an Auster Mk IV or V with a Lycoming engine. I don't know which as they look much the same. The one with the inline engine is an Auster AOP Mk 9 that was not used in WWII.

And Mr Fozzer i wanted to get a closer shot of that plane but its stuck in the middle of the display and on one side it was blocked by a lynx and the other a gazzel.
Thank you for your comments Hagar, to be honest with you, their layout is a little muddled due to the fact they dont have much room to work with sadly. They have moved the argentine pucaras they had to an undisclosed location for no reason there were some good planes that i wanted photos of that were impossible to get due to the layout. But the collection they have is really good and well worth a visit. Plus at
