Not a DC3 fan?

Here are a couple taken at the Bloomington/Normal airport. As you can see it was windy and extremly cold!

Even the pilot waves too me.

Times like this I wish I had a camera that uses film, can't take photos fast with a digital!

This is a TransGlobal plane never seen or heard of this one before but the design on the tail is neat! Sorry it doesn't show up too well but I'm behind inch thick glass:)

I'll later be posting some from the Prarie Aviation Museum's static display, which includes one F4 Phantom with a real heart wrenching story!
Stay tuned!

Lousy weather Fret, but some nice pics. I love the jetwash, do they have serve-yourself gas pumps as well? ;D ;D ;D

That was kind of neat I never seen them de-ice a plane before! I was wondering what is the stuff they are spraying on the plane?
And the weather did suck! The winds were holding at a constent 35-40 mph!
Another thing that happened that I always thought was a myth was that that plane was scheduled for arrival from Detroit at 10:07 AM. At exactly 10:07 AM i saw it break through the clouds on final!! AMAZING! ;D

if u didnt say it was Bloomington i'd swear it was London (CYXU) we get the same Saab340 every day twice a day, we have pooploads of snow everywhere and we get a few other airliners (737's) here..... great stuff! :)

A couple of days ago, I sat in brilliant sunshine and watched a Warbirds Dakota (New Zealand) perform low-level stuff for the crowds, then take 30 sky-divers up for a drop.     One of the great planes of all time.

Nice Shots :)

The Aeroplane de-icing fluid is called Glycol and it is recyclable.

Cheers....Happy Landing....Doug :)

They are cool! This is the first I have ever seen in person. And when you look at those props they look mean!
For some reason the first thing that came too mind when I saw pull up to the gate was "Warbird" and that thought came from looking at the engine. Take one of those engines and put some wings and a seat on it you have a homebuilt warbird!! :)
