UH-1H's on Christmas Eve

Postby Mike Thurman » Sat Dec 27, 2003 6:55 am

I took this photo on christmas eve, here in turkey. Two UH-1H's were flying by the second was about 150 ft away from the first, than the second began doing some wierd thing where he spun just a bit and dived for 200 or so feet, must of lost control for a sec ???
The first one is the one with the arrow pointing at it:

Maybe he was trying to avoid the hot cigarette butt tossed out from the other one? :)

Looks like a "bad attitude" :)

Bad Jokes? I thought so myself!!

Neat photo though!  Maybe he hit some bad air coming from the first chopper?

MikeT075:
Quick thinking, and a great shot.
Glad no one went down, area below looks well populated, could have been messy.

Well if it is like many of the H-1 pilots I have ridden with in my mis-spent youth. It is a manuver that is exicuted right after the words "Well then, Lets make the photographer sicker!!!" are said.
