The harbour entrance with an ocean-going tug heading back to base.
Looking east into the inner harbour. We used to swim across here to the other side & back. Not sure we quite appreciated the danger. Sometimes I wonder how we survived.
This is Shoreham Harbour proper taken from the lock gates. The inner harbour is actually in Southwick & Portslade. Confusing around here ain't it.
The big chimney is the new Portslade power station. The old one was twice the size with 2 chimneys & was a prominent landmark for many years.
A tug coming into dry dock for maintenance. It's a tight fit.
Now I know why they call it a rust-bucket.
