Love the first and last shot! DC-10's rule and I am wondering what the 777 looks like from passenger point of view. Is it more spacious or do they just cram more passengers in?

the 777 was without a doubt the most amazing interior i have ever seen. when i first saw my seat i actually thought it was business class because it was bigger, and more comfortable than anything i had ever been on. considering the flight over was on a 767, which was so cramped, i had to almost hold my knees to my chest:)

Yeah, been on a 767 to and from Nairobi, that was difficult. After 4 -5 hours I really need to move, everything starts to itch. I hoped it would be better in the 747, at least with KLM to Surinam it wasn't. Same need to go crazy in the walkways. Can't wait to be on the 777 then, or an A-380.

(Oh well, probably cheap shots like me will always get what they pay for: 'here's your seat, now stop whining about its size!')

What is it about the DC-10 that you guys like so much? I've only flown on one once & didn't particularly like the experience. That's an understatement as I was relieved to get off it. Mind you, it was the hangar queen & only dragged out at the last minute when the 747 I was originally booked on went US. It was also a very stormy night. At least I lived to tell the tale. ;)

I guess it is the same for me. I did a lot of jobs at Schiphol Airport and Martinair was my employee for many years. They operated 4 DC-10's then (among other types), and I am in love with that plane.
If you enter a Boeing, you KNOW it is a Boeing because of the way things look and feel. I've had my best times in DC-10's ( ;) that too ) and I grew fond of it. The nose of the craft looks cool, the cockpit is spacious, I like it in passenger outfit, but I simply love it as a freighter. And not to forget, if you'd compare a L1011 with a DC-10, the L1011 looks silly. (Except for the powerup of those fans: I'll never forget the bass that comes from that plane's engines - for that the L1011 rocks  ;D)
