Your photos are really exquisite, and then the ships? Absolutely superb!
As a lifelong model builder I have deep appreciation for this type of work. Just great. :D
Then I find myself almost in the same boat as you. We too have moved into a much smaller "bungalow", in an over 55's complex. I just don't know where to go with my creations as well.

In my 70's now, but finding it extremely difficult to stop building stuff. But, materials have become very expensive as well, all on the back of this Covid-19.
So yes, got to tone down, just don't know when :)

aha yes....and the world is changing....people are into virtual reality now...and teeth grinding video games....in past centuries, castles and mansions displayed wonderful artworks and painting....now i can imagine a castle...rooms filled with monitor screens showing off all the virtual creations of the day.....guess it wouldn't take up as much room as sculptures and models etc etc
and i have to admit, i'm in awe of the digital artists today....the scenery created in movies, especially sci fi and fantasy...is absolutely breath taking........probably even the great artists in the past would be beyond impressed..........
oh....not to mention, that cities are getting more crowded and living spaces smaller and smaller....no room for model ships etc...even though few, these days would be that interested in them....only us old folk...times have changed...times have changed...cheers, vic

yea pete........it would have been nice if the ships were placed where people could have enjoyed them....even offered them to the village of burns lake...but..no room....so at least the few who have them can enjoy them..and maybe their offspring...me...i'm pretty detached...my main endeavor is to heal and cleanse my mind and soul...to wash out all the garbage....that, i can take with me when i leave the physical :D :D

It's amazing to realise these are replicas of real ships, that were hand built and powered by humans. Every single one could tell a truly amazing story. From the voyages they made, to the 100's of human stories associated with each one of them.
