Nice shots. It looked like a great event on TV.

I heard them fly over my house in Hastings this afternoon.

Looks like you had one of the best seats in the house... :D

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

Shadow..... :o ...!

I've suddenly realised that the obvious visual difference between the Hurricane and the Spitfire...

...apart from the rag-and-tube shape of the Fuselage on the Hurricane, its that the Hurricane has a much larger Vertical Stabiliser and Rudder.

I can remember watching and hearing the overhead Dog Fights over the outskirts of the City of London (Petts Wood, Kent) in 1940!
...and getting bombed!

I was at the top of runway 24, cold and wet morning, but the afternoon dried me out. Alas the closest encounter didn't get a photo, I was in the queue to get out, between two hedges when a Spit came in to land. I could have reached out my window and touched the underside of the wings, scared the hell out of me and some pedestrians :-D :-D :-D
