CFS 1 Painting aircraft

I would like to find a little program that would let me into AF files so I could tweek them a little with a little color. I also need some instruction in PSP7. I dont have any one to ask how to use it with out going to collage. I love painting aircraft but cant seem to make them look more round instead of flat. Can someone help me

[color=#003300]I mainly use PSP8 or PSP9 to increase and decrease the bitmap color schemes, change brightness or change overall color tints. On rarer occasions, I've used the 'effects' options for enhancements on complex pxs (better than my old pixel-by-pixel method but I usually still do some pixel touchup).
