Copying CFS to hard disk

Postby michaelo » Tue May 20, 2008 11:54 am

Everyone says it's a great idea to copy CFS1 to the hard disk if you have room. I did, and it works fine. But when I removed the CD and tried to load CFS, I get a message to insert the CD. So what's the point? Or have I done something wrong?

which it will continue to do if a hex editor reveals that the CombatFS.exe still has a '75' instead of 'EB' in the 1248 offset line -- or you use a 'CD mirror' program which identifies a section of your hard drive as another CD drive...
or you can click onto our infamous Colonel Hogan's site.
