Sound Problem

Postby Silberio » Sat Jun 23, 2007 8:38 pm

Hello, im new here, joined yesterday :)
Well, i got some kinda problem, i found a sound, its the engine start of a ME-109, wich i used as the engine start on my CFS's ME-109, but the sound (In Game) isnt full, about in the half it kinda cut's.
Is there any coding i can do so the sound plays full lenght?
Thanks.

I believe you're saying that you've replaced an original sound with another, the replacement sound is of longer duration and not all of it plays. This is affected by the parameters set in the sound.cfg which was made with the original sound in mind.

Yeah, actually, thats what i meant hehe.
Well, what do i have to write there?
I changed the name of the startup sound file:
[STARTUP]
filename=start
rparams=0.590000,0.912000,0.995000,1.189000
vparams=0.000000,0.000000,0.056000,0.000000,0.083000,0.000000,0.123000,0.000000,0.146000,0.000000,0.192000,0.000000,0.556000,0.000000,0.750000,100.000000
min_volume=103000
I changed it to "Start" (As that is the sound filename), so what should i write so it stays for longer time?
The sound lenght is 12 seconds, by the way.

Well, my stock CFS1 bf109e doesn't have a parameter string for the start.wav? :-?
Depending upon what my fuel settings are, the starting time varies;
pushing the starter button with the magnetos off, it's continually repeating about 12 seconds of "Wipe Out" --
must remember to revert to proper file.

;D

Hmm...Im gonna check the backup file.
*Checks Backup file*
Okay, in the backup (Original) it says just this instead:

[STARTUP]
filename=start

In the Sound.CFG, the only thing I did, as i remember, was to rename the sound I downloaded to "Start", as the default BF109 Start sound filename.
So...What can I do so it stays for 12 seconds?

Fiddle with your fuel mixture...
don't click on the magnetos for the first 12 seconds while pushing the starter button (leave them off -- you can listen to the start.wav all day ;D)...
