Hi, Welcome to the forum, glad you like the site. I have played around with CFS1 for many years and still don't immediatly know the answer to your questions.
No1 may be possible, but I dont know how.
No2: That could be made (I think) with one of those hidden *.gau files to switch on an extra file in a dive with a set airspeed. I can't program gauge so don't quote me on that lol.
No3 I don't know. Maybe a gauge solution, or in the *.dp. I can make constant smoke (coloured too - ;) ) but not like you want.
Sorry, Dan

thanks for the wellcome, I don't know anything about programs so I think I'll have to wait until one of you big brains will bring an unswer to my questions. besides, I can't turn on the panels of my planes either original or imported. I've read some solution on the forum but I couldn't find the files mentioned. thanks again

Hi fulvio. What do you mean you can't turn the panels on? Can you elaborate?

hi, well the problem is that during night flying I should be able to see all the gauges in my cockpit, either using "f10" key or "o" key, I have also tried cntrl+l and other keys. still I am not able to have any sort of panel lights. is there anything I can do about it?

If I recall (And I dont think i do :P ) CFS1 didn't support night panel lighting... I haven't flown it in a while.

Look for a utility by Chuck Dome named MakePink. I think this works for CFS1 gauges.

Howdy,
CFS1 does support ac night light effects but you have to have an ac that has it.For instance,RAF662 bombers have outside nav lights( be sure and turn your lights off in a night mission .The enemy can see you from miles away LOL) There are some other ac that have it but off the top of my head I can't remember any except maybe the C-133 cargo plane and I'm sure there are others. It's just that stock ac don't have the lights. Be sure you have your keyboard enabled for lights in the setting/setup page. You have to assign L and ctrl/L for lights I believe.Check the ac dl section here at Simviation and read the descriptions and I'm sure you'll find some. You can also check at RAF662 web site for classic CFS1 scenery and planes.

As already said, CFS1 supports lighting if it's part of the particular aircraft (such as imports from FS98 or downloads -- perhaps from this website -- and add-ons, such as some from abacus). If you wish to change the keyboard designation, enter your Control "Assignments" under your Settings Options -- or to even assure that lighting is enabled (it's difficult to turn on the lights without the switch).
As a matter of sound and reality (or, even, sound reality) Stukas made a horrendous scream in a diving run by the intentional design of their dive flaps; they were, after all, "dive-bombers" but, unfortunately, the AI wasn't designed to accurately depict their attacks.

As this thread has been revived I had a search round & found Chuck Dome's Makepink utility I mentioned. You can get it here.
http://members.fortunecity.com/kc4wvl/2000fs_utili.htmlFS2000 MakePink Gauge Lighting Utility. Adds the soft pink night lighting to FS98/CFS gauges. Make Pink v1.1 works with more gauges, including the large CFS "clustered" GAU files. A new option adds FS98-style night lighting to unlit gauges. An added utility changes the FS2000 GPS gauge background lighting. Requires Visual Basic 4.0 driver files. By Chuck Dome. Public domain.
This will work for CFS1 gauges. Note you will also need the VB4 drivers. These are posted all over the Web. A quick search will find them.
On the subject of the screaming engines. I think this was caused by the props overspeeding. Athough I'm sure it happened I doubt that every crashing aircraft would make this noise. I've heard it in many war films & suspect it's a gimmick & done for effect like most things in films.
The Stuka had a special siren fitted to make the screaming sound. This was done deliberately to strike fear into the enemy.
