Controls problem

Hey Guys
I play my combat FS with all my new aeroplanes and im prettyy satisfied with how it runs right. But the controls suddenly stop being what they are and the keyboard commands dont work.

Also it keeps telling me that my joystick has changed from '~Oi!' to '~o!' and random stuff like that.

But the worst problem is that when i put the engines on full power they turn hard left and i cant straighten it out with my joystick or anything, its like its on automated right rudder. Its frustrating because i cant take off.

Help would be nice

Thanks
forfun

Hi Forfun. I suspect this is a hardware problem, probably with your joystick. The first thing I would try is to reinstall the joystick & recalibrate it. Also make sure you have the latest joystick drivers installed. You could try the latest DirectX from the M$ site. If that doesn't fix it try Uninstall/Install of CFS1. That fixes most problems.

If they turn left that would be left rudder.
This could also be the joystick calibration or the CFS prop torque effects. The default aircraft will all pull left on full power when on the ground. To find out which, try reducing the Realism to Easy from CFS1 Settings. If that didn't fix it the problem is most likely the joystick.

It may be that you have auto rudder on or off...maybe that will fix it...?
I suspect the problem has already been fixed...so...ah well...at least I get my number of posts up... though I don't think "Gold Member" is a very good title....
:o
Mmm...or maybe in the controls bit click 'enable joystick'....
