Hello group,

Several years ago I modified the main cfg. file to allow the use of the Y key on the keyboard to skew (move across vast distance fast) and since my computer crashed recently (now redone) I do not remember how to modify the cfg. file anymore.  Help!!

I also modified the file to allow the choice of any aircraft in campaigns and missions.  Whats the mod?

Lastly, and this is the feature I really miss, I used to be able to hit the X key on the keyboard, even on take-off (allows you to skip take-off).  What's the mod?

thanks,  Smackdown

You can slew in Free Flight by default. Heres the CFG entry to make it work in QC & missions.

[CHEATS]
allow_slew=1

Hope this is what you wanted.

PS. Here's the full list of "cheats". I think the warp entry is the one for your take off.

CHEATS]
allow_slew=1
bomb_trainer=1
free_warp=1
oneshot_kill=1
show_damage_log=1

Hey, what's this business about being able to get every plane available in all the missions?

I have done this in CFS2 by changing the 'in service' date in the DP file.

I tried to get more planes into individual campaign missions in CFS1 by adding the plane number (eg 3051) to the mission file, but it didn't work.

How do you get all the planes to appear in each campaign mission? (They already appear in the 'Single missions').

Thanks  ;D ;)

Hi Bird64. I find that most of the old CFS1 cheats work fine in CFS2. It won't do any harm to try them. As always, back up CFS2.cfg before editing it.

Sorry Brensec. I missed your question or would have responded sooner. I no longer have CFS1 installed to check this out. I've never been too sure what makes the Player aircraft selectable from the Campaign menu.
