Yep. No problem. I've been running CFS1 & all M$ sims on WinMe since it was first released.

I don't doubt you Doug, I'm just saying that I heard from a friend that CFS will run on ME, but with a few bugs. I don't think that it correct, but having XP Pro myself I can't test it.

You're probably right anyway, I just thought I'd mention it  ;D

No bugs that I know of Geforce. If anything it's the other way round & several people trying to run it on WinXP have mailed me for advice. I can't help as I've never used XP & have no knowledge of it.

I've never had a problem running CFS1 on Win95/98/Me & 3 different PCs. WinMe is simply an updated version of Win98. CFS1 was released long before WinXP was thought of & originally intended to run on Win95, which it does rather well. ;)

OK, right you are. The reason why CFS1 runs perfectly on XP (for me anyway) is that XP has a Compatibility Mode feature. This lets the game run as if it were in, say, Windows 98. I run CFS1 in Win95 Compatibility mode, and it is fine. If I put it onto XP Mode, the game wont even start.

Make that 4001. ;)
Numbers & stars have no importance to me & might as well not be there.

I have heard of this Compatability or Emulation mode, whatever it's called. Good to know it works.
