I have never been able to use the plane conversion program in cfs1 to convert planes from fs98.  I allways get the dreaded " version 6 error message.
help. has anyone ever been able to use fs98 planes in cfs1?

Bill. This is a common mistake. The Converter utility is only used for installing FS5 aircraft. FS98 aircraft are configured ready to install. Use the same procedure as for CFS1 aircraft. This tute should help if you run into problems. http://www.simviation.com/lair/aliasing1.htm
