Blocky propellers after latest re-install

Postby ItchySix » Sun May 29, 2005 11:38 pm

Hi folks...
Recently had my game crashing..thought it was a new soundcards incompatibilities..but it turned out to be faulty ram..
As part of the trouble shooting,CFS1 was completely removed, which was soul destroying as I had tweaked so much of it..
Im now flying again, but theres one niggly problem that I just cant seem to correct..
Propellers are now blocky triangles instead of the usual blurry black lines...a work around has been to not have them show, which is fine I guess, but they can still be seen on the enemies planes..and its annoying the heck out of me...
Is there an add-on that I have missed,or a tweak in a config file somewhere...
Ive got the latest drivers,I've tried all sorts of graphics options, trawled the net for solutions, asked as many knowlegeable people I know, but I'm stumped..
Its a very minor point I know, but it is affecting my game because every time the enemy is in my sights or passes me,Im not concentrating on the kill, Im growling at the 3 stupid triangles on the nose of his craft....
Thanks in advance for any ideas put forward...

Just a guess, but are you by chance running in software mode?

Go to 'settings', and under 'display', make sure the 'enable hardware acceleration' box is checked.

I doubt that's it, though. The props in cfs1 are just pretty ugly in vc mode.

Even on my machine (And Its a pretty good one) the prop looks less than splendid from the VC, but I doubt its that as he says he see's it on the opponents plane too. Is it only in that FS?
