Never tried this one myself. I'll check it out for you.

Make sure any 3rd party aircraft used in the mission are installed properly with their correct folder names. This is the most common cause of error messages in missions. They will still work without the scenery.

An addon. Anything that's not default.

I just downloaded the mission package. Not had the chance to check it out yet. All due respects to the author but it looks a bit of a mess. I'm not surprised you had problems installing it. Downloading extra files from other sites never helps.

From a quick peek at one of the missions the 662 Lancaster folder should be named RAF662_Lancaster RAF V2.5

PS. I didn't realise that 662 Lanc is an auto-install. I've installed it & I'm going to try a mission without modifying anything. I still need to get the Lanc from Flightsim.com. Installing all this could take a while even for an old hand like me to figure out. Not sure it's worth the trouble for one or 2 missions. ::)

i've got the website that the author created and it's about how he made the missions, do you think that would be useful?

Post the link here by all means. Every little helps. I'll have a go at installing this lot when I get a few minutes, maybe later today. If I do it in a hurry I'm bound to mess it up. Check out the motto in my sig. ;)

Sorry Pokey. I don't like admitting it but this one has me beaten. Maybe I'm getting too old for this lark. ::)

The main problem seems to be that the RAF662 Lanc has been updated since the missions were written. According to the instructions the file name is CFS1_RAF662_AVROLANCASTER_V.zip. I can only find one named CFS1-RAF662_AvroLancaster-V2.5.ZIP. I download & installed that - tried selecting it in Free Flight & it locks up solid. This is probably the 3rd file in 5 years that I've had this problem with in all my M$ sims. Talk about frustrating. LOL ??? >:(

I think your best bet might be to mail the creator of the missions & see if he can figure it out.

In the six times I've downloaded it, it has never worked.
I gave up and started writing about it.

I was getting frustrated & confused when I wrote my previous reply. I tried again & finally managed to play a mission. The way this package is configured makes it far too complicated for me to explain. This seems a shame as the author appears to have taken a lot of time & trouble over it.

Well then since you know the basic idea behind the mission maybe you can re-create a package of your own for all to fly ;)

Grumpy's Dambusters, has a nice ring too it :)

Thanks Jeff. It does have a nice ring to it. ;)

I was never any good with creating the missions themselves. I leave that to my more talented colleagues like Mike Eustace & Tom Sanford, two of the very best. IMHO

However, I do know by now the best way to configure addons, especially complex campaigns like this one. If I had more time I would reconfigure it so anyone could install it. I'm far too busy with CFS2 these days.
