I think you lost something :D

The screenshot is very nice, but I have to confess I really hate that plane, in real life.
To me, the P51H is just a Mustang with wrong proportions... An ugly Mustang.

Here is a picture that shows the differences between THE Mustang (P51-D) and the P51-H. Mainly, the nose on the H is thinner, and the underneath air intake is bigger.
The final silhouette of the H is much less sexy than the P51-D.

And here is a shot from the P51D I took in P3Dv4 not long ago :)

there must be a magic formula which makes a particular design so desirable.....dc-3....spitfire etc.....and the slightest change in a line or curve can make all the difference......even the companies here, who produced various spitfires, seem to have their own idea of the correct lines......i may look at one and think, that does not feel quite right.....but i could not describe why :D

Hi, I have to agree about the P-51H.
Many many years ago I was taxiing behind a P-51H at Torrance Calif. airport. We were both in line for takeoff. At first I was excited to see an H model live and up close. But after seeing it at several different angles I realized that it had lost its classic P-51 lines somewhat in its quest for even more performance. Would still like to fly in one though.

I like the more streamlined shape of the H model.

I think the H's weakest link was it's undercarriage and the rough airfields of the time. All you wanted to know about the P51H http://www.mustangsmustangs.net/p-51/variants/p51h
