Virtavia T.4 with tweaked shine. I could dull it down a bit, but...

Same again. I revised the burners too.

very nice work. I wouldn't dull it any because natural aluminum will have a shiny look to it. The newer the aircraft the glossier the finish will be whereas an older aircraft will have been dulled somewhat by sitting out in the ramp environment. Nice burner effect too. How did you do it?

An Aircraft Mechanic only needs two tools, Duct Tape and WD40.
If it moves and it's not supposed to - use the Duct Tape.
If it doesn't move and it's supposed to - use the WD40.

This is the aircraft cfg Lights section I adjusted.

//light.6= 9, -20.8, 0.0, 1.25, fx_EELightning_EngRun // Eng1 lit
light.7= 6, -17.8, 0.0, 1.25, fx_EELightning_AB // Eng1 reheat
//light.8= 9, -20.8, 0.0, 3.70, fx_EELightning_EngRun // Eng2 lit
light.9= 6, -17.8, 0.0, 3.90, fx_EELightning_AB // Eng2 reheat
light.10=6, -17.8, 0.0, 1.25, fx_EELightning_AB
light.11=6, -17.8, 0.0, 3.90, fx_EELightning_AB
light.12=6, -17.0, 0.0, 0.40, fx_phantflame
light.13=6, -17.0, 0.0, 3.50, fx_phantflame

I also got the burners to light at nearly full throttle by adjusting timings in the effects parameters.
I used the light numbers followed by =6, and placed the gauge37=DSBXML!DSBAburner, 0,0 in the panel cfg.
Then used gauge38=ALPHA_Swift!Alpha_exh_smoke2, 0,0,10,10 for the smoke effect to come when the throttle is opened.
The fx_EELightning_AB is taken from the original Virtavia cfg. fx_phantflame is from the freeware Virtavia Phantom FGR pack 3 effects.
Many thanks for your comments. If I can help with your burners, let me know.

You are too kind. It took me a couple of years of trying this and that before I managed to get the texture finish I wanted, and just trial and error on the burners. Some of the FSX addons are a dull finish, and their burners look unrealistic, so I thought there must be a way. I use MDL Material Editor, and Mdlmatxx for the textures. Some of them, such as K ito's aircraft models, I can't change the texture. Must be something in the model file itself. As long as you back up your cfg's, you can't make a mess of it. I will post a couple more shots of payware too.
