Bowerman to Sekiu

Postby Flying Trucker » Sat Feb 10, 2018 2:15 pm

Good afternoon all and a wonderful snowy one it is.

The snow started falling yesterday morning...got close to a foot or more...quit last night and started about 11AM today.
Tomorrow we are looking for Freezing Rain.

Good Flight Simming Weather...

Again on this short cross country which Stephane "Daube" suggested I used three different simulated aircraft. The computer worked fine with each one.
Have not moved any Game Sliders or changed the Frame Rate. Leaving things alone.

Windows 10 Home and Microsoft FSX Deluxe + Acceleration
Orbx Scenery
Departure: Bowerman "KHQM"
Arrival: Sekiu "11S"

Simulated Aircraft:
Auster J1 Autocrat
Cessna C120...Payware
Aeronca Champ...Payware...CR-1 Software

Auster on Climb Out...I liked the looks of the Low Tide and the Aircraft Shadow
Image

Caught Waves coming up onto beach...picture gave me a feeling of openness
Image

I liked this shot as it is different than what I usually post
Image

Forgot all about the aeroplane...felt it showed nice ORBX Scenery and Weather
Image

Now who put that hill at the end of this valley :?:
Image

This Champ has no Flaps but did land only using half the runway
I thought this was a good shot but now I look at it the right landscape spoils the shot...poor detail
Not sure how I should have taken this one...moving the aircraft right probably would have shown just as bad detail...not sure on this one
Image

OK...those are my comments...reasons...excuses  folks

Comments and Advice most welcome... ;)
Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

Hi Doug,

I hope you liked that small flight. I do it quite often.
The openness impression in your second shot is indeed quite good, I like the angle of view you chose here.
I also agree with you about the last one: I didn't remember about that road going up the hill. This means you'll have to find another angle of view where this problem is less visible, maybe... Or land in the other direction :D
