My Orbx airports 5 - 8

Postby OldAirmail » Sun Aug 13, 2017 10:55 am

Perhaps I should have mentioned it, but all shots have real-time weather, and I'm going through them in the order that they're listed in FTX Central.

Cushman Meadows. I may move my "home airport" to Cushman Meadows.

The good thing about Cushman Meadows is that it has an amphibious floatplane area next to it on the lake.

The bad part? You can land there, but you can't select it as a starting point.

BTW - The KCMW Cushman Meadows Airport is a fictitious airport. The lake is there, but not the airport.

Still, the area really captures the feeling of the Olympic Mountains.

These aren't the best of pictures, but they are mine.

After going through my Seattle trip pictures, I'll have to think a moment or two about buying the Orbx version of the Sequim Valley Airport.

The first two are taken at the real Sequim Valley Airport.

Ok, I gave in. I bought W28 Sequim Valley Airport. Hay, it was only $10.24 USD. I had to. :shifty:

Things are a bit different than I remember. But no biggies.

Here's the REAL sign.

And here's the Orbx version of the sign.

W28 Sequim Valley Airport to come later.

For what it's worth - from my trip to the Darrington Airport.

A reality check.

The mountain on the left of this picture -

Is shown here in real life. Shot through the car front window after pulling over to the side.

I suppose that if I have a sign for Darrington Airport, I might as well have one for Concrete too.

The real life sign. The blue building on the right with the green steel roof is the airfield/clubhouse. It was opened when I was there, but no one was around.

Here's another pair of pictures.

Real life Concrete, looking westward.

And the Orbx version, looking westward.

You should see the ORBX Skagit Regional Airport . Its so real it looks like a photograph. Even the signs on the buildings are correct, right down to the services they provide etc.
I Sim-fly out of there a lot and just love the whole area.
I have also been to Concrete Airport in a Turbo-Beaver and also by Helicopters and by Car in real life. I love that scenic area as well.
