Rex Texture Direct with Orbx Global
Posted: Sun May 29, 2016 4:46 amSo after debating with my self for about an hour over Rex Texture Direct 4 with Soft Clouds being on sale for half price, I decided to buy it and then noticed that FTX Global was also on sale...and ended up with both. 
Not that my wallet is thanking me.....
Anyway I was expecting a slight improvement from Rex 4 and a basic upgrade of texture from Orbx Global and I can honestly saw I was totally wrong, the changes are profound. Rex 4 gives stunning sky and water effect whilst Orbx global makes it feel like I have full world payware scenery....which well....I guess I do....
Anyway, here are a few shots out of Corfu.
The sea here looks so gorgeous, I'm on the edge of booking a holiday to Corfu as we speak!
It's well worth the money, whilst on sale!
In regard to the eternal FPS question...there was a slight impact from Orbx Global over large cities such as Rome, and vector played havoc with my UK2000 scenery, but it was an easy fix.
And as a quick FYI, non of these images are edited other than resize to 1800 pixels wide.
