FTX Monument Valley SP1 + Blue Sky Scenery Monument Valley

Postby OldAirmail » Sun Apr 26, 2015 12:59 pm

Long story short - if you want to combine FTX Monument Valley and Blue Sky Scenery's' Monument Valley you can now do so thanks to FTX Monument Valley SP1.

You may, or may not, need to use the Orbx FTX Vector Configurator to adjust the mesh imbalance.

Until FTX Monument Valley SP1 this didn't work well at all.

Now you can get the best of FTX Monument Valley with the much larger area from Blue Sky Scenery.

It isn't going to be perfect, but then it's the blending of scenery from two different companies.

Just remember to move the Blue Sky Scenery lower than the FTX Monument Valley. That way the FTX airport will override the Blue Sky Scenery.

The one thing I am having problems? with is my; "Devil's Tower" scenery.

In particular, the buildings in the adjacent Park area. A conflict in elevations of the various buildings and objects, floating in the air.
May be due to a mix of my OrbX FTSX Global scenery mesh, Just Flight FS Global scenery mesh, OrbX freeware scenery, and other freeware add-on scenery!

Obviously, all this is only observed at ground level!

Its easy to get a mix-up between existing scenery mesh, and some Orbx new scenery mesh.

"A fine old "mesh" I have got myself into", as Olly would say!... ;) ....!

Have you tried the FTX Vector Configurator? So far it's helped with the six airports listed under AEC IS DISABLED FOR:.
