IT'S ALL A FAKE! Nothing to see.

Postby OldAirmail » Wed Mar 18, 2015 3:45 pm

Bob sent me some pictures of his visit to Monument Valley.

But I'm going to pass it along to all you guys - it's just a fake western town!

No soda, no burgers, nothing! Not even a bar!

So don't go out to Monument Valley - There's nothing to see but a fake town.

Nothing to see, folk. You might as well fly back home.

Thanks Mr P. Crazzy.

I think that people earn money and gain experience doing scenery for Orbx/FTX in the same way that new writers do it with short story publishers.

At first you do little bits, and get paid a little bit (if anything at all).

The better you get, the larger project you can take on and the more money you'll make.

Now I'm not going to knock the guy who did this set of buildings, because I couldn't do even one quarter as well.

The scenery it's self is good, and no one expected anyone would see it at ground level.

That is, until now, when I put on "Bobs" shoes and started walking around town.

The "Bob" character is a fiction. It's an invisible vehicle (man) that you can move around on the ground.

It'll give you a ground pounders view of the Orbx world.

And that view is much better the higher up you go.

Don't get me wrong, I wasn't knocking the programmer, and FTX has some of the best products out there.
I was just goofing on them because normally they at least put some falling leaves or an old truck or two.
They should have added some tumble weed, couple of road runners or a dust storm at the very least.
I also have Bob. I walk around the virtual world alot myself.
My favorite is sitting at the end of the runway and plane spotting the AI landing and taking off.
Anyway, glad to see you back posting.

Thanks Mr P. Crazzy.

I was just making fun of the "building" scenery.

The "Monument Valley" scenery is very nice.

After dinner I'll explain how it can be made MUCH better. :D

There's that famous ramen noodles smiley guy sign! Can you find him in other payware and freeware sceneries? O0
