Nice one fox2.
The one thing I hate about the Vulcan is
the visibility. The tiny cockpit aaarrrggg!.
I cannot imagine what it must have been like
for the crew on long flights. Very brave men.
Regards
Anthin.

Speaking from experience, and now having a limited 3hr bottom, I can remember wishing I weighed a lot less than I did on those long sorties. The worst was a trip to Maralinga, with stops in Nairobi, Gan and Tengah. If you think the pilot was cramped, try the 6th seat, or the 3 rearward facing Nav seats. Not even an Elsan. Talk about the jokes and the stink after landing.

Thanks for the reply.
I would have gone totally nuts stuck in that tiny cockpit.
Six crew in a cupboard! I cannot imagine what it was like.;
Go well my friend and live long and prosper.
The Vulcan, may she live in peace.
Anthin.
