Nice paints on a lousy piece of software.

Instead of referring to Google when someone asks a question; A2A is the software developer who made this very expensive piece of crap airplane and Ozx is a flightsim website.

But honestly, I wasn't being facetious (big word for the day!). I did Google those two, but I sure appreciate the help anyway Always nice to get a real answer, as Google is not the be-all and end-all of all informatin...yet

I am not wealthy enough to afford payware, so I'll never have to worry about A2A I suppose

Anyhow, thanx again for the answer and the review of the two sites! makes life a lot easier on me, and I am ALL about that!

Whats wrong with the A2A C172??

@Phantom. Maybe you should take a look at the A2A P-51

I can't control the rudder using the two assigned buttons on my yoke. You need either rudder pedals (that I don't have) or a twist grip joystick. Now I have a joystick which I use for planes that don't have a yoke like the Piper Cub. A Cessna 172 has a yoke, so I want to be able to use my Saitek yoke. Unfortunately A2A programmed the C172 in such way that it will not respond to button switches for rudder movement, only axis are allowed. Now there is a work around using FSUIPC but that's not working very well either (for me). So, I spend $50 on a useless piece of software.

Well, Crash, there is no need to get so harsh on the A2A developers!
Most of us can see, in your post, that the problem is not the A2A aircraft, but your setup.

(Fozzer knows alot about Saitek, so maybe he will join in).

I've never had any problems setting up my rudder axis, in any free/ or payware ac's inside fsx axis control with my two yokes (TM Cougar and MS Sidewinder). Even did it on a freinds old Logitech with no twist.

I can understand your frustration, but dont give up!.......... Some tiny things can make the world beautiful

Don't get me wrong, I have been using Saitek products for the past ten years. I have a Saitek X-52 (second one actually), a Saitek yoke, throttle, prop and mixture controls and a Saitek trim wheel. I read a lot of forums about this 'tiny' problem and believe me, I'm not the only one. Even Saiteks own software can't assign the rudder to the buttons on my yoke, only through a rather complicated FSUIPC config it would be possible. It works. For about 10 seconds. Then FSX crashes. Now is that my problem? Probably. Could it have been avoided? Yes. By having a rudder that would work for everyone. Like all FS planes do since, I don't know, 1982...
