The Ayers Trip
I distracted myself with the view. it was so plain yet so complex. even at 15000ft i could feel how warm it was. I was truly stunned, plus i was trying to distract myself away from the thought of a dodgy outback hooker. . . not a pretty sight.
As i mentioned that we would be descending soon they quickly and excitedly started shouting "can we see Ayers rock yet, can we, can we?!" oh to be that excited about things again, i guess ive gotten grumpy over the years? or maybe life has just caught up on me? Whatever.
I had a perfect approach. . .
and even impressed myself with the quality of the landing
but slowly taxied her into the hangar for the london lot to disembark and go touring the rock.
As i got off the plane i was in luck . . . there was no dodgy hooker or sisters of the boss! maybe that was the surprise?
while the family headed off and i said my farewell for now i headed over to ATC to eat my lunch and talk to the controllers
