Hello fellow screenshot fans - First screenshot post for quite a while, i hope you like them :-)

Northrop T-38 Talon

"The T-38 Talon is a twin-engine, high-altitude, supersonic jet trainer used in a variety of roles because of its design, economy of operations, ease of maintenance, high performance and exceptional safety record. It is used primarily by Air Education and Training Command for undergraduate pilot and pilot instructor training. Air Combat Command, Air Mobility Command and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration also use the T-38 in various roles."

Image

"The T-38 has swept-back wings, a streamlined fuselage and tricycle landing gear with a steerable nose wheel. Two independent hydraulic systems power the ailerons, flaps, rudder and other flight control surfaces. The instructor and student sit in tandem on rocket-powered ejection seats in a pressurized, air-conditioned cockpit."

Image

"The T-38 needs as little as 2,300 feet (695.2 meters) of runway to take off and can climb from sea level to nearly 30,000 feet (9,068 meters) in one minute. Student pilots fly the T-38A to learn supersonic techniques, aerobatics, formation, night and instrument flying and cross-country navigation."

Image

"More than 60,000 pilots have earned their wings in the T-38A. Test pilots and flight test engineers are trained in T-38A's at the U.S. Air Force Test Pilot School at Edwards AFB."

Image

"The F-5B and F (which also derive from the N-156) can be distinguished from the T-38 by the wings; the wing of the T-38 meets the fuselage straight and ends square, while the F-5 possesses leading edge extensions near the wing roots and wingtip launch rails for air to air missiles."

Many thanks for looking 8-)

Honestly, this is the first time I learned the difference between an F-5B or F and a T-38.  Learn something new everyday!

Thanx for the comments guys :-)

As for ENB, i think i tried to get it working sometime after first installing FSX but i dont recall it ever doing anything really! Suffice to say, just the standard bloom then... (i ticked the box in FSX menu screen)

I think the reason i couldnt get it working is because my iMac is lacking somthing on the keyboard that i needed, or it was, as the i5 mac comes with a bluetooth small keyboard without the numeric keypad, and now i have two keyboards, another apple keyboard with the numerics! But i never got round to solving it! Sorry :-)

The scenery is EPKK - its payware but theres a demo on SimV somewhere. Not sure it covers the surrounding areas as seen in the screenshots but it may just do so. I installed it and fired up FSX and these shots are from that initial test of the area!

As regards the F-5B v the T-38, no i didnt know either!!! 8-)

Awesome shots I love those!  They're always at IWA by my house and sometimes on our ramp at PHX.  It's amazing how thin their wings are.
