after having danced with a 109, i finally found him head on out of the immelman turn and exchanged bullets, he lost his engine, i lost my gear, and landed close to home without any damage to my engine/prop.

That last one distresses me

no worries, the hangar info said only the gear was damaged, so it will fly another day.
