P40 Test Flight

Accusim makes it more fun. I like the P40 because it is fairly simple in comparison to the Accusim P47/Spitfire. I followed the checklist and went by the numbers and didnt break anything. I tried some spins and barely recovered just 1000 feet above the ground. I have the realism sliders at max, so with full opposite rudder i could barely break that spin. Nonetheless I like the way it flies. I made a nice landing, not to hard, but the engine stalled on taxi, i kept the throttle to about 10-12% but ill use more next time.

Not sure how realistic it is modelled, but I recall that the real P-40 had an issue with engine cooling on the ground.  They could overheat during a long taxi because not enough air was going through the radiator.  The pilots would basically start, taxi out quickly, and get off the ground as soon as they could.

What part of "Accusim" do you not understand ? :D
Sorry, I'm one of the biggest Accusim fanboys out there.

The P-40 will overheat, but not as fast as the Spitfire MkI and MkII.
