Catching the Sky

Postby Jayhawk Jake » Sat Dec 24, 2011 11:33 pm

Flew my Skycatcher around Orbx's demo NA scenery.  It's pretty nice scenery, may have to buy some of it, but it's never anywhere that I already fly.

Anyways, enjoy the pics.  I reinstalled FS Recorder so I'm trying some new stuff, and I decided to experiment a bit with cutting off parts of the plane in pictures, let me know what you think

I like the way they add textures under the water.  Gives a feeling of depth

While moving the camera, I got stuck admiring the detail.  Flight1 does a great job! :o

Found this power plant nearby, but it was starting to get bumpy.  I was looking to head back but had to go check out the low clouds/fog in the distance

Sometimes real world weather really gives you something pretty ;) Of course, in the Skycatcher all I can think is I better beat this back, strictly VFR only

But it's too pretty.  Just one more, then back to base

And on final

Loving the Skycatcher, and I hope you guys like the pics!  I tried out ORBX's Tasmania demo as well, and more play with FS Recorder, so check out my next post!

Great stuff. Im a firm believer in chopping bits off, making the usual 'unusual'. Go for it! With most of the views in FSX all looking the same for everyone (all generally centered, or from various similar angles such as wingtips and so on), its the difference that makes all the difference!  ;)

Who's skycatcher?  I've flown the real thing IRL and love it (the controls are weird) but have never seen a good model.
