There's practically no FPS hit if you have a fairly reasonable computer. I highly recommend purchasing it.

There really is no comparison to the default jet. Obviously there is going to be a fair FPS loss when compared to default.

I loaded C&D at KBFI, high (ish) settings, 100% UT2 and REX, in the VC:
Default 737 about 25-30fps
PMDG 737NGX about 10-20fps

I only have a medium powerful computer. And note I'm still running Windows XP 32 bit, the NGX was optimised for W7 64 bit. I'm in the market to upgrade my computer. 8-)
