The Duke Down Under

Postby patchz » Sat Jun 04, 2011 4:19 am

The RealAir Duke has been on my wish list for a while now. And the combination of Dave's post and RealAir offering both the turbine and piston

package $10 off of buying them separately, I could no longer resist.

Brisbane to the Gold Coast.

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

It sounds great Justin. I have yet to start cold, so I don't know how it sounds winding up yet, but I've shut it down several times. And listening to it wind down is music to my ears.

Edit: I just did my first cold and dark, and it sounds wonderful winding up.

My local flying club has a Duke, so I've been lucky enough to see one fly. Its such a sleek/fast looking aircraft, very nice. 8-)
