My Favorite Helo

Postby patchz » Tue Jan 18, 2011 1:08 pm

I've been wanting Virtavia's (Alphasim) AS365N Dauphin for a while now, and finally broke down and got it. I checked with them first to make sure it was native FSX. The reviews were not kind, but I am happy with it. I

think the main complaint was the VC. True, it is not up to today's standard, but I like it simple and it satisfies my needs. It is very stable and as helicopters go, easy to fly. Now if I can just adapt my repaints of Antti

Pankkonen's FS9 model.

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

I have it too. Nice chopper, faaaast too! So far I like their Seasprite the best, but I've been thinking about getting their Sea King for the past week. I might cave in tonight  ;D If I do, I'll be sure to post some pics!

Thanks guys. :)

Yes, well sorta. I used to love the way it sounds, but when I got the Huey, it ruined it for me. The Huey sounds like...
a Huey. ::)

I can tell you what kind of (military) helo is flying overhead without looking, just by the sound.  They only ones I have a hard time distinguishing is the Cobra and the Huey, they use the same engine and blade so they sound the same.  Usually I assume it's a Huey though.
