Bentwaters to Dunkirk via Ramsgate and Calais, then back. With clipped wings and a contra-rotating prop on a Merlin engine, it's a shame this bird was never built.

[color=#000000]Thanks Doug. :)
I seem to do much better with props than what you like to call suck and blow jobs.

Goodly morning all... :)

Well Larry the jet engines either worked or they did not work, there was no in-between as far as I know.

Now the big old piston engines could be cantankerous at times and they gave you a lot more to do when flying but they never were as quiet as the jet engine especially in the front end.

[color=#000000]I remember when I was a kid putting together plastic models, I loved the jets. And when I first got FS9 and found out you could add aircraft and got the F-14, I did. But now, I much prefer props, whether it's 1, 2, or 4. And

I am especially fond of radials, mostly due to the sound. I just got my COLA, so I bought the A2A J-3 and F4U Corsair. But the sound of the Corsair is not as good as the Alpha Bleu Ciel Corsair for FS9, so I aliased the A2A

sound to the Alpha. Hope A2A doesn't find out I aliased their payware sound to a freeware one. ::)

Hi Larry... :)

I noticed in your post you mentioned one, two or four engine propeller driven piston pounders.... :)

Well if I could have sold all the kids and the old girl this is what I would have bought... :)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stout_Bushmaster_2000

Yes I have always been partial to three engine aircraft like the Ford Tri-Motor and Junkers JU52 but I wish that Stout had produced more than two of these fine aircraft.

The Link is a good read also.

Anyways thought I would just let you know what I like... ;)

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

Goodly morning all... :)

I bet they would take Pay Pal off you Larry but if you do buy it for me would you have them paint it in Christmas colours...red and green.... ;D

I am not sure it one of them made it to Oshkosh last year or not.  I do believe only one is flying now however it did say there was a third airframe available.

I know this is off topic but if you do get a chance get a ride in that Ford Tri-motor that does the tours down your way...awesome aircraft... ;)

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug
