I've asked CS a lot of times to bring out an FSX version of their -104 but they keep saying : we don't have plans to release an fsx version, please stay tuned -_-
I didn't use it because I can't upload anything with it. ALL my files are too big :s
PS: I like the Tomcat in your sig !

Not sure why you're having problems. If you can't upload your image to the SimV server as requested you can always post a link to it like this.
http://img263.imageshack.us/img263/692/f1041.jpgI downloaded the same shot & saved it in IrfanView at the correct file size. Bet you can't see the difference.

I have the CS104 running in FS2004. When I copy the folder over to my simobjects/aircraft folder the plane looks good outside in FSX, gear retracts, but I have no gauges. Any suggestions? I'd much rather fly the plane in FSX than in 2004. Dollar for dollar, it's a great jet.

Some times, the DL will have it's own gauge folder. Transfer the contents to either the FSX\guage folder, or some add them to the add-on panel folder.
If you've done that, and still have no gauges, then it's time to open the edd-on panel.fg, and play "Swap-a-roo" using gauges that work in FSX in place of the FS9 gauges. The .cfg will have entries for various "windows" with a list of gauges. For instance:
Gauge00=cessna_altimeter, 200, 300, 90, 90
If you do not see an altimeter in your aircraft, then open the FSX gauge folder and look for an altimeter of a similar type that does work. When you find one, simply remove the one that doen't work and replace it with one that does.
Gauge00=new_altimeter, 200, 300, 90, 90
The four sets of numbers are the X and Y possition and X and Y sixe of the instrument. You should not have to change them.
Also, FSX uses a lot of "XML" gauges, as opposed to the usual "gau" files. Try to stick to the .gau files if you can.
And always remember, befor editing your .cfg's, make a back-up copy, just in case.

Having trouble with the size of your images? Get IRFanView and then save the image as a JPG @ 80-90 percent quality. I guarantee you that you won't be able to tell the difference, and I have never seen an image that wouldn't compress below the limit using this method.

In an attempt to move the CS104 to FSX, I first moved only the aircraft file. Gauges were indeed a problem because I didn't move those files (thanks for the tip), but the gear worked. Now that I moved files associated with all the other folders (effects, etc.) the gear no longer works. I'm going to selectively remove files until the gear works again. Will report back if I can get everything working.
By the way, all the gauges currently work except for the attitude indicator. I'm sure there's a workaround if that's the only problem.

I found the file that keeps the gear and flaps from working in Captain Sim F-104 when it is running on MSFS X, but unfortunately the same file allows the gauges to work! The file is named cs_f104.gau . Looks like I'm stuck right now because I lose the gauges if I want the gear and flaps to work.
My Operating system is Win7 64, and I have User Account User Control turned off.
