Continuing from Part 1.

Finally, South America. Bland scenery below. Just reached the 2000 nm/4 hours remaining mark.

After crossing this river, I got a call from ATC to contact Asenscion Center (was that what they called it?)

Banking over the Andes for the approach into Santiago.

"Those are some serious clouds."

On approach. Delighted that 3 VASI lights where white, whereas my AF A318 LHR-CDG flight had them all red, which Flying Mouse remarked. ;D

Touchdown! Finally, the Crappy Fan Material56-5C4s could enter reverse thrust.

Finally at the gate again, with a TAM A330 taxiing to the runway and an Air France B777 at the gate with two LAN birds and also a Delta 767-400ER in the very back. (Couldn't include it because the TAM guy was moving)

Hope you enjoyed. For my part, the first 6 hours went really quick, but the 6 last ones was really dull and boring. During the last part I just sat reading Eldest (Second Eragon book for those who didn't know).

Nevertheless, I will soon do another long haul. Probably a Thomas Cook A330-200 atlantic crossing or taking RAFLeighs beautiful V Australia B773ER for a transpacific spin.. so many choices!
