repaint plug

Postby jankees » Sun Mar 22, 2009 1:06 pm

OK, for those of you that are interested in propellor driven aircraft AND have not yet bought the A2A WoP3 P-47, here's a totally shameless plug of some of my own repaints for this fantastic model.
I am having a hard time flying (or painting) anything else, because it is so much better than all other aircraft in my hangar, so if you don't have it, you're missing out on something, least of all my repaints...
Hope you like 'em, and if not, still thanks for watching.

Great shots to show off the excellent work you do!!! Love the New Yorker paint. I've been wanting to get one of the A2A planes but haven't yet. I really wish they had the B17 " Flying Fortress" for FSX.

There you go:

The P-47 is better though, in my opinion.

Most of them can be found on avsim or sim-outhouse, two (#2 & 8) still have to be finished and uploaded.

OK, one more pic!

Thanks Jankees, but I really wish You hadn't replied to this tll next month. ;) I'm all paywared out right now and it's going to be hard to resist for a couple of more weeks. Do you have the B17 or do you just prefer the P-47 in general?

I have both, and they are both very nice. It's just that the B-17 was A2A's first FSX model, and the P-47 the latest, and it shows. I'm not sure these shots really show what I mean, but the external textures on the 47 are much sharper and in general more believable, while the 17 looks more like ...well, a model. The VC in the 17 is nice, but in the 47 it's fantastic, and then the 47 has accu-sim, which lifts it to a totally dimension. Now, all cockpit sounds become totally realistic (every switch has its own sound, you hear the wind when you open the canopy, etc), and you really have to watch all those meters, because you will break the engine if you mistreat it. I find it amazing that during WWII, these 20 year old kids could fly this for hours over Germany with other people shooting at them...
So, if it is realism you're after, and a fantastic model, it's the 47.
If you want a big bomber, it's the 17. BTW, A2A are saying they will develop accusim for the 17 too, so that is going to be fun..
Both are well worth the money though!

The planes and your repaints are all great as always!! I can't justify such a purchase right now though, sadly... :)
