I dunno Nick, I'm not really convinced. I feel the colors/textures above the treeline look a bit too much like a patchwork to me. Too many variation I feel, but that's just my opinion.

I dunno either.. between the Scandinavian shots and the Alps shots people who live in the areas have been telling us we nailed it


You also have to remember I am showing images with absolutely no weather which is totally and completely unrealistic. When the sim adds in the natural haze layer the colors and contrast change and soften

These are also highly compressed images due to the amount of data/detail in them which means they tend to darken a tad. None the less, what you are seeing is ultra high details which when you are in sim and look down says mountains and rock. A far cry from the mud you get with default  :)
